Biography

Wooden HEZ:
The project that eventually became Wooden HEZ started in April of 2010 with Dave Pitone playing acoustic originals at a Philadelphia open mic. By mid 2011, Dave started jamming with a couple local musician-friends. They worked on adapting his gentle acoustics into edgy band arrangements. After a few pretty OK attempts at some open mics, they played their first gig. Now - almost two years later - the project has become a force, with stellar musician-mates elevating the game and spewing some serious shit.
Alan Lee:
Before Wooden HEZ, Alan played with the Athens, GA bands Woodfangs and Figboots. He uses a Fender Jazz bass with active pickups, through a Gallien-Krueger amp and cab - and also generously uses overdrive and chorus pedals to get his signature sound.
Timmay Stevens:
Timmay is an accomplished professional drummer with a long resume of working with top shelf projects. He started his drumming career by joining Jefferson Starship for a reunion tour. Most recently he toured with Queens of the Stone Age, filling in for Dave Grohl. Timmay is sponsored by the Bucks County Drum Co. and plays one of their custom kits.
Dave Pitone:
Dave, a longtime writer and poet, pens the songs for Wooden HEZ. He can often be found at Philly open mics putting new tunes through their paces. Dave plays Fender Stratocasters with D'Marzio pickups and sends out the signals in stereo to Marshall JCM-900s.
