Based in NYC for thirty years, playing hundreds of shows and releasing 3 CD's on his Not Fade Away label, Tim has now relocated to Sedona, Arizona.
The Sedona music scene is very active and Tim is finding his niche here. Playing every month at The Full Moon Saloon in Sedona and adding new venues every month is helping to expose his sound and talents to Northern Arizona. The momentum is building.
Tim was raised in the heyday of AM top forty radio and the Folk music boom. Inspired by everyone from Bob Dylan, Joan Baez and, Arlo Guthrie through to The Beatles, Sex Pistols, Ramones, Cars and Nirvana.
Instrumentally, Tim is a stand out rhythm guitarist, both acoustic and electric. His lyrics cover a wide range of stories and anecdotes drawn from personal relationships, politics, the bar scene and the music business. Each song is crafted by hand.
Tim is originally from Easton, Pa. Before heading to Manhattan Tim attended and graduated from Mansfield State University in Mansfield, Pa. with a BA in communications. In New York City, Tim formed and fronted half a dozen rock bands who always focused and performed his original songs.
Tim has composed music and songs for TV and several independent films. His songwriting strengths feature
strong, memorable melodies and the itching rhythms to drive them home.
Tim is a writer with BMI.
Tim's fourth collection, "The Life of a Song" will be released as five separate EP's beginning in March 2015.
A fan named Peter at Full Moon Saloon said, "Tim is a hidden treasure!"
Soon that will all change.

“Tim Young Band’s ‘The Cost’ is the perfect summertime soundtrack. It feels best to listen to it while sitting in front of a campfire, surrounded by company but alone with your thoughts.”

“The Cost is a mellow classic rock album with strong songwriting and tight arrangements. It's not feel good music per se, but you'll feel good listening to it.”
