Biography

Made up of pro's in the New Orleans area, Local Voice in Oxford, MS described the band like this:"Nola County, the brainchild of bandleader Blake Mogabgab and New Orleans producer and experimental fiddle player, Mike Harvey, is outlaw country for modern times. The group performs with playful irony, mixing the familiar classic country sound and progressive, heartfelt songwriting. The band operates under the mantra “keep country weird” and, per leadman Mogabgab, "hopes to stretch a genre often plagued with formulae". While currently recording their first album, Human Heartland, the band has crafted a live show that stays true to the most important element of country music—it’s fun!"
