Minerva J. Born in the city of the “Baseball Players”, San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic sign Virgo, came to New Jersey looking for the win as many immigrants. She finished her university studies, graduating in Accounting and Business Administration. During the years she was studying, the pressure of her studies could never stop her from her first love, “Music”.
She also studied singing, dancing, acting, modeling in very well-known schools. Minerva J. was always raised around music. Her father use to put her on a table to dance salsa with adults. So she’s never put her art of singing aside. In 1991 was when she was created her record label "M.Quest Records", and it was then when she released her first album in English titled: “Body Language”. At that time the genre of music was "Club House". After several years working with American music was when she decided to make her cross-over English to Spanish making her first production of salsa "In love with a Naughty Boy" in 1993 . After that year she recorded, four albums, eight music videos and various commercials.
Minerva J. feels that part of her artistic success in the Dominican Republic she owes to the great ex-entrepreneur Mr. Corporan of Saints ( rest in peace ), who invited her to one of her best concert tours in the country in 1993. Where, she came to be a sole artist, while making the program “Saturday with Corporan” singing and dancing several of her songs. After her TV presentation she got known all over the country. She then received many bookings and offers.
She was in many presentations, interviews, television, radio shows, magazines, newspapers, and more. Minerva J. had a great acceptance with the public. Six months later Mr. Corporan invited her to his program again, where she and Sergio Vargas sang a theme in honor of the great Mr. Mundito Espinal who turned 20 years in journalism. In the same year the Department of Tourism of the Dominican Republic listened to one of her songs titled "Dominican Republic" which they used as one of their theme song for the Vicentennial.
