We are a Bluegrass Band in southeast Ky, we started in 2003 at Hart Baptist Church, Joyce Parker put this together, but left the band in 2010, to be a choir director, we have continued to play mostly churches where we stay busy most weekends, we have also played lots of festivals, notably, The Festival of the Bluegrass in Lexington Ky at the Horse Park, we have recorded Three Cds and are working on another at this time, we write some of our own songs, but it would be a hard sell when customers want to see and hear a song they have heard on a Cd. So we put one or two on each Cd that we have written. they have all been registered, I think we have a very good band, when we aren't playing i go to other festivals and listen to all the well known bands, I know lots of bands can play the music, but singing is what makes the difference. We get lots of repeat gigs, when we play somewhere we are asked almost the same day if we will do something that they are going to have in the future. Since we record our own cds I am sure they aren't the quality of a large studio, and we do sound much better live. Once I was called to play down in Tennessee, and they wanted me to send a cd to see if they wanted us to come, I did, and they call and said we have all listened to the cd and can't wait untill you can come. So when we went there and were finished several people came up and told me we were great and lots better than the cd, I knew if they liked the cd they would love us. we are just looking for a shot to let our music get out and let people decide, we will continue to play because thats what we love to do. we all work, as most in bluegrass do, not many get to make a living playing bluegrass and thats a shame, because you find your best musicians in bluegrass, most have done the rock and country thing before., as everyone in our band has. if would be nice if more bluegrass band could make a living doing it.. Thanks for all you can and will do, I hope to hear from you soon. Thanks again
