Take the electronic dissonance of Nine Inch Nails, the guitar-laden grooves of Autolux, and the visual brilliance of Tool, throw in some New Mexico dirt, and there is Gigantic Hawk.

The brain child of Greg Thum and Norman John Cutliff III, Gigantic Hawk is a two man machine greater than the sum of it's parts. Employing a core structure of Cutliff’s syncopations and Thum's biting guitar riff’s and varied vocals, Gigantic Hawk layers percussive synths and soaring harmony over it’s foundation, creating something strange but wonderfully familiar.

Thum and Cutliff are no strangers to distinction, having worked with artists like Robin Finck (NIN, GnR) and John Otto (Limp Bizkit) respectively; Gigantic Hawk has polished their collected experience to a high sheen.

Philosopher Friedrich Nietzche wrote, “Every profound spirit needs a mask: even more, around every profound spirit a mask is continually growing.” Gigantic Hawk has taken Nietzche's words quite literally. The striking mystery of their contemporary visual presentation borders on theatre, heralding the audience into their sexy, scary, surreal landscape.
