We are Desert Poets Moving Company, otherwise known as DPMC. We're an indie rock duo out of sunny Arizona who started this project in early 2013. We (otherwise known as Frankie and Meg) were previously playing with some friends in a cover band. We realized that we weren't getting the creative satisfaction that comes with writing our own music. We decided to branch out and give it a shot.
To date we have written 15 songs, with 9 of them on our debut EP (coming soon!), Vanilla World. We are currently featured on Dr. John's Unsigned Rock Surgery, an online rock show based in the UK. We are also in regular rotation on the 365 Radio Network as well as Rocker's Dive Radio.
Between both of us, there is a very eclectic background of music. Meg's influences lean more toward singer/songwriter, Alternative, funk, and blues music, where Frankie prefers classic rock, 80's rock, and progressive rock. But it doesn't stop there. Our goal is to combine multiple genres together and create a new and unique sound. Our song "Party For One" is very jazz/blues inspired, while "Vanilla World" has a harder rock feel.
Everything you see from DPMC is all ours. We do everything from writing, recording, and producing the music, to marketing on social media sites, networking, photography, and cover art.
