Bone Orchard’s music is a cruise down the Route 66 of legend, as it might have been had it started in Appalachia and detoured through the wild streets of Deadwood.

The band draws inspiration for their original songs from the stories and landscape of the old and new American West as well as the revisionistsensibilities of artists such as Cormac McCarthy, X, and Sam Peckinpah.

Daniel Pretends Eagle and Carol-Morgan-Eagle are the heart and marrow of Bone Orchard, writing, creating and producing all their own music from their home in the mountains of Northern New Mexico.

After meeting in the thriving underground music scene of Los Angeles, where Daniel, hailed by the LA Weekly as “one of LA’s best unsigned guitarists,” fronted roots-punk band The Peckinpahs, the two of them relocated to Taos, New Mexico in the early 90s.

Bone Orchard was born in 1999 during an inspired evening around a campfire on the banks of the Rio Grande. The band has continuously morphed and changed as Daniel and Carol follow their musical muse. As of now they are working on their third album to be released in the Fall of 2015, tentatively titled "Espiritu Del Norte", with all new songs and new players reflecting their new sound of Spaghetti Western Spanish Gypsy.

Bone Orchard has been touted by the Santa Fe Reporter as “fast gaining a reputation as one of New Mexico’s most exciting acts” and “redefining Americana,” and has been nominated for a New Mexico Music Award. Their most recent CD, A Romance of Ghosts, was called by Heaven Magazine of The Netherlands “one of the most exciting folkrock CDs of recent times.”

PAST PERFORMANCES INCLUDE: Solar Music Fest, Thirsty Ear Music Festival, Pike's Peak Music Festival, Commonwheel Music Festival, New Mexico State Fair, State of New Mexico sponsored event "Spanish Guitars of the Americas".
