Born and raised in Tupelo, MS, Adrian started playing music at an early age on the bass guitar. In college Adrian was the bassist for singer/songwriter Sanders Bohlke and had the opportuniy to tour with Sanders and support acts such as The Fray, Mat Kearney, and Jason Mraz. Adrian also had the opportunity to play bass with Alex Dezen of The Damnwells. From there Adrian picked up the guitar and began writing his own music. Starting a band called Avenue Hearts, Adrian won two awards, one out of Nashville, TN and the second an honorable mention in the World Billboard Song Contest. After taking a two year hiatus Adrian started working on writing some new material for a soul album for his solo debut called Bless The Soul recorded at Tweed Studios in Oxford, MS.
Bless The Soul erupts with southern soul. Its that feel good inspiration bringing back that refreshing soul that we all wish was more prominent. Listen to this album and you will fall in love! Creating a modern day soul record with echos from the Motown/Stax eras, Adrian has successfully brought back that feel good sound that will truly bless your soul!
Adrian is now working hard on his anticipated sophomore release One More Good Night. Recorded at RNN Studios in Oxford, MS, One More Good Night is a farewell album going back to his roots in his Mississippi singer-songwriter/folk/country sound. Adrian has relocated to Wilmington, DE and now has joined up with the Philadelphia Songwriters Project and is currently performing solo shows in the Wilmington, Philadelphia, and throughout the northeast.

Finding one's identity as a musician is a unique and personal experience, filled with tough breaks and a dash of flip-of-the-coin fortune. However, for Tupelo-born songwriter Adrian Dickey, 31, the process has been an exceptionally rare one, and one that has yet to be completed. As the soulful folk singer prepares to release his second full-length solo record, "One More Good Night, " Dickey recounted his initiation into the weird and wondrous world of Mississippi music.

I love your sound. This record is positively excellent, just amazing soul on a level that isn't really being done, and I can't speak highly enough of it.

Each track is infused with the spirit of Stax...there are irresistible dance-floor pulse, slow-burn ballads, and swaying gospel glee.
